LA's Expansion to a

Metropolis (1907-1960s)

************************************
Our class for Aug.-Sept., 2026
************************************

Course Rationale:
How did the transportation and entertainment industries transform Los Angeles to the second biggest metropolis in the United States?  This is the guiding question of Part III of the series of En4Ed classes focusing on the history and heritage of Southern California. This class focuses on the early and mid 20th Century. Additionally, we will learn about new cross-disciplinary lessons for delivering content to students, including those that are traditionally “under-served” in classrooms.
